Captive ISIS militant admits raping more than 200 women

ISIS captured militant Ammar Hussein. (Supplied)

Captured ISIS militant Ammar Hussein says that he raped more than 200 women from Iraqi minorities, and shows few regrets.

Kurdish intelligence authorities gave Reuters rare access to Hussein and another IS militant who were both captured during an assault on the city of Kirkuk in October that killed 99 civilians and members of the security forces. Sixty-three IS militants died.

Hussein said his emirs, or local IS commanders, gave him and others a green light to rape as many Yazidi and other women as they wanted.

“Young men need this,” Hussein told Reuters in an interview after a Kurdish counter-terrorism agent removed a black hood from his head. “This is normal.”

Hussein said he moved from house to house in several Iraqi cities raping women from the Yazidi sect and other minorities at a time when IS was grabbing more and more territory from Iraqi security forces.

Kurdish security officials say they have evidence of Hussein raping and killing but they don’t know what the scale is.

Reuters could not independently verify Hussein’s account.

Witnesses and Iraqi officials say IS fighters raped many Yazidi women after the group rampaged through northern Iraq in 2014. It also abducted many Yazidi women as sex slaves and killed some of their male relatives, they said.

Human rights groups have chronicled widespread abuses by IS against the Yazidis.

Hussein said he also killed about 500 people since joining IS in 2013.

“We shot whoever we needed to shoot and beheaded whoever we needed to beheaded,” said Hussein.

He recalled how emirs trained him to kill, which was difficult at first when one person was brought for a practice kill. It became easier day by day.

“Seven, eight, ten at a time. Thirty or 40 people. We would take them in desert and kill them,” said Hussein, an imposing, well-built figure, who was wearing metal handcuffs.
Eventually, he became highly efficient, never hesitating to kill.

“I would sit them down, put a blindfold on them and fire a bullet into their heads,” he said. “It was normal.”

TROUBLE

Counter-terrorism agents said Hussein was trouble when he first arrived. “He was so strong he snapped the plastic handcuffs off his wrists,” said one.

Hussein sees himself as a victim of hardship, a product of a broken home and poverty in his hometown of Mosul, where Iraqi forces have launched an offensive against IS to dislodge them from their last stronghold in Iraq.

“I had no money. No one to say ‘This is wrong, this is right.’ No jobs. I had friends but no one to give me advice,” said Hussein, who has been held in the cell with a barred window since his capture in October.

Religious slogans are scratched on its cement walls by previous jihadist prisoners. His only possessions are a thick blanket and a Koran. On the floor is a polystyrene plate with broth and some rice.

Thick, metal handcuffs hang on a nearby wall.

Hussein, now 21, began his career as a militant began when he was just 14, he said. He was drawn to it by his local mosque preacher, then he joined al Qaeda and now awaits legal proceedings as a member of IS, the successor of al Qaeda’s Iraq branch.

As cited elsewhere by others, Imam Shafi said:

Know that it is the way of Ash-Shafi’ee and the scholars who agreed with him that it is unlawful to have intercourse with the captive women among the idolaters and other unbelievers who are without a divine scripture unless they first embrace Islam. They are forbidden to approach as long as they are following their religion and these captive girls were among the Arab polytheists who worshiped idols. This tradition and others like it imply that the women embraced Islam and this is how they must be interpreted. Allah knows best.

Khawarij sect in Nigeria killing each other

Boko Haram descends into in-fighting as reports emerge of deadly clashes between rival Islamist factions

Two leaders vie for power as followers argue over who is following ‘true jihad’

  • Adam Withnall Africa Correspondent
  • 08/09/2016

New reports have emerged on in-fighting between rival factions of the Boko Haram militant group, as the jihadists feel the pressure of a concerted Nigerian military push and the number of desertions continues to rise.

The apparent split in the group began last month when an Isis media wing announced Abu Musab al-Barnawi as the new leader of Boko Haram, which pledged allegiance to the Middle East insurgency in March last year.

But the previous leader, Abubakar Shekau, insists he is still in charge, and the AFP news agency quoted local sources saying deadly skirmishes have now broken out between supporters of either man.

Nigeria’s military has declined to comment on the development, but at least half a dozen Shekau supporters are reported to have been killed and more wounded in clashes across three villages in the Monguno area of Borno state.

Mele Kaka, who lives in the area, told AFP the Barnawi faction had launched the attacks in each case, on areas controlled by Shekau supporters.

After each attack, he said, the Barnawi fighters told villagers the other faction had “derailed from the true jihad” by killing innocent people and looting their property.

The Isis-supporting faction has previously rejected Shekau’s preferred strategy of suicide bombings in crowded areas. In comments shortly after he was named the new leader, Barnawi criticised his predecessor for “targeting the ordinary people”.

The Bloomberg news agency also carried reports of the skirmishes, which appear to have occurred late last week. News can take time to travel in Nigeria’s war-ravaged northeastern region, where up to 2.5 million people have been displaced from their homes and most basic infrastructure like telecommunications lines have been destroyed.

Ali Mohammed, a member of an army-supporting vigilante group based in Monguno, told Bloomberg around 18 Boko Haram fighters were understood to have surrendered to the army, along with their families, following the in-fighting.

“They are under custody of Monguno command and we believe the dual battle between Barnawi’s and Shekau’s camps may have compelled them to sneak out and surrender,” he said.

Despite all its recent setbacks, Boko Haram continues to pose a serious threat to the region.

Yesterday a Reuters reporter who rode along with the Nigerian army reported soldiers firing indiscriminately into the bush throughout the journey, because of a constant fear of ambush.

The army has reclaimed a number of key towns in Borno state since former military leader Muhammadu Buhari became president last year and the military moved its base of operations to the northeast city of Maiduguri.

But heavy rains have halted its advance towards the Sambisa forest, which the government describes as Boko Haram’s final bolthole, whose dirt roads are ill-suited to heavy tanks and artillery.

Food is scarce in the areas still controlled by Boko Haram and the group is reported to be low on other supplies and ammunition. But the shortages are hurting those still living in the area just as much as it is the militants.

“We had to leave the bush because we were hungry,” said Haja Jamil, 40, a pregnant yet painfully thin woman who arrived at the recently liberated city of Bama two weeks ago with two children.

She told Reuters: “Boko Haram kept coming and hassling us. We are still afraid of them.”

With regards to the last point made on the ancient site of Thamud, following are narrations of the Prophet (peace be upon him)’s visit to that site:

  • Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar: The people landed at the land of thamud called Al-Hijr along with Allah’s Apostle and they took water from its well for drinking and kneading the dough with it as well. (When Allah’s Apostle heard about it) he ordered them to pour out the water they had taken from its wells and feed the camels with the dough, and ordered them to take water from the well whence the she-camel (of Prophet Salih) used to drink.  (Sahih Bukhari  & Muslim)
  • ‘Abdullah b. Umar reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said in connection with the people of Hijr (thamud): Do not enter but weepingly (the habitations) of these people who bad been punished by (Allah), and in case you do not feel inclined to weep, then do not enter (these habitations) that you may not meet the same calamity as had fallen to their lot. (Sahih Muslim)
  • Ibn Shihab reported, and he had been talking about the stony abodes of thamud, and he said: Salim b. ‘Abdullah reported that ‘Abdullah b. Umar said: We were passing along with Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) through the habitations of Hijr, and Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Do not enter but weepingly the habitations of these persons who committed tyranny among themselves, lest the same calamity should fall upon you as it fell upon them. He then urged his mount to proceed quickly and pass through that valley hurriedly. (Sahih Muslim)

Following points are notable:

  • The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not order the destruction let alone looting of these sites.
  • Sahabah were in fact ordered by the Prophet (s) to take water from the well which was used by Prophet Salih (asws). This was not shirk or means to shirk or a bidah or superstition, as the Wahhabi movement portray.
  • With regards to the site where calamity occurred because of past evils, the Prophet(s) ordered to either enter weepingly or to simply proceed quickly, rather than anything to do with destroying these sites.
  • Historical sites connected to early Prophets were popularly known and acknowledged, unlike the Salafis who deny such existence. They commit category fallacy when implying authenticity of historical sites and relics, are to be necessarily validated by using same rules used in authenticating narrations from the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Further can be seen from the practice of the companion of the Prophet, Anas ibn Malik (rad.) in visiting ancient sites to take lessons from it:

  • Narrated Anas ibn Malik: Sahl ibn AbuUmamah said that he and his father (AbuUmamah) visited Anas ibn Malik at Medina during the time (rule) of Umar ibn AbdulAziz when he (Anas ibn Malik) was the governor of Medina.  ..(…)..Next day he went out in the morning and said: will you not go out for a ride, so that you may see something and take a lesson from it? He said: Yes. Then all of them rode away and reached a land whose inhabitants had perished, passed away and died. The roofs of the town had fallen in. He asked: Do you know this land? I said: Who acquainted me with it and its inhabitants? (Anas said:) This is the land of the people whom oppression and envy destroyed. Envy extinguishes the light of good deeds, and oppression confirms or falsifies it. The eye commits fornication, and the palm of the hand, the foot, body, tongue and private part of the body confirm it or deny it.  (Sunan Abu Dawud)

Fatwa of Sheikh Muhammed Said Ramadan al Buti (rah.)

As translated here:

The questioner is asking about visiting historical sites in Indonesia that contain old Buddhist statues and drawings; is it permissible to visit these places as a tourist?

The Sheikh’s response was:

رؤية التماثيل التاريخية ونحوها والمرور بها، والجلوس على مقربة منها ليس محرّماً، ألا ترى إلى الآثار الفرعونية القائمة منذ أيام الفتح الإسلامي. لقد كان المسلمون ولا يزالون يمرون بها وينظرون إليها، ولم يقل بحرمة ذلك أحد.

“Looking at historical statues and the like, passing by them and sitting by one of their graves is not unlawful. Have you not seen the Pharaonic relics that have remained [i.e. in Egypt] since the days of the Islamic conquest? The Muslims still visit them, pass by them and look at them, and no one has ever declared it unlawful.”

Khawarij blow up 16-century mosque in Yemen

Salafists blow up 16 century mosque in Yemen Al Arabiya English

AFP, AdenSunday, 31 July 2016

Salafists in Yemen have blown up a 16th century mosque housing the shrine of a revered Sufi scholar in the city of Taiz, a local official said Sunday.

Gunmen led by a Salafist local chief known as Abu al-Abbas blew up the mosque of Sheikh Abdulhadi al-Sudi on Friday night, the official told AFP, confirming media reports of the attack.

Yemen’s commission for antiquities and museums condemned the destruction of the site that is considered the most famous in Taiz.

It said the mosque’s white dome was “one of the biggest domes in Yemen and one of the most beautiful religious sites in old Taiz.”

Images of the site before destruction showed a white square-shaped, single-storey structure topped by a large central dome circled by smaller ones.

Note that this was most likely not committed by the Khawarij Qaeda or Daesh cults, but by followers of the Madkhali sect of the Khawarij movement as seen in the incitement by them just weeks ago.

Fruits of Wahhabism: Cultural genocide in Mecca

Sami Angawi refuses to call Mecca a city, for his Mecca could never be transformed into metropolis – no matter how deep the drills dig or how fierce the battle between the skyscrapers and the clouds.

Mecca is a “sanctuary,” he says. “It’s God’s house, the refuge of humans, the birthplace of Islam.” It is the sanctuary established by the archetype of the perfect Muslim, Prophet Abraham, he adds.

After decades of causing slaughter & mayhem of Muslims another Qaeda ideologist admits failure

The modern day Kharijites deep in takfir and bidah, chased their own mirage after mirage with DIY fatwas, DIY sharia, DIY jihad and DIY caliphates/emirates backed with empty slogans, black flags and doomsday prophecy to dupe Muslims into false sense of glory and victory. What did they achieve ? Nothing except more slaughter of Muslims, more destruction of Muslim society, and more distortion of Islam. Now after decades, another Qaedist pseudo scholar / “thinker” comes out admitting their failure:

[Abdullah] Bin Mohammed believes the outcome of the jihadi effort of the last three decades justifies a change in strategy. In his article “Political Guerilla Wars,” he wrote, “The jihadi group’s main problem isn’t finding a way to fight the international system, as al-Qaeda provided an answer to this issue. The main problem is how to be able to rule under such a system. This needs political guerilla war.” He clarified his thinking, stating, “The military calculations proved to us that an open confrontation with a strong enemy like the US is military suicide. Therefore we had to go a different way in military confrontation, and in politics an open confrontation like declaring a state is also political suicide, as the West has the power to weaken us, pressure our societies, and at the end uproot us as they did in Afghanistan and Iraq. Therefore, we have to build a new strategy that can enhance our resilience.”

Weirdly he considers the outcome of Taliban being uprooted from Afghanistan and Iraq in sectarian bloodshed under control of Iran as “[Qaeda] has found a way to fight international system”. Bin Laden was literally hiding next to Pakistan military base [this happening while they constantly love to make takfir of Pakistan] and their present leader hiding somewhere in a cave, and their followers have mostly converted to a splinter sub cult of new breed of hyper takfiris a.k.a Daesh or ISIS who are making takfir of Qaeda and slaughtering each other. Instead of repenting for all the past crimes they have did,  the Qaeda pop star floats his new strategy on how to bring about the global Qaedist world order. His new strategy unsurprisingly has nothing to do with Quran or Sunnah or Salaf but instead to engage more in taqiyya and deceit & mirrors more on the failed Muslim Brotherhood & Iranian method of coups & revolutions.

May Allah protect the Ummah from the Khawarij and their plots.
